Home Maintenance Reminder

Everyone has probably noticed the major house repair job near the entrance to our neighborhood. This is a good reminder to us all to carefully be watching for signs of rot, etc. on our homes. If you see fungus growing on your home, realize that there is rotting wood behind it. You never know how extensive the damage will be until you begin to make the repairs. What appears to be a small problem could turn out to be a very large one. This is why it is so important to tackle the repair job as soon as you notice a problem. Unfortunately, at this point Centex views rot as simply water damage and not faulty construction. It is worth the time to take a few minutes to walk around your home and assess the condition of the siding, trim, posts, etc. Early fall is an excellent time of year to make exterior house repairs.
